  • National level - Promote engagement with relevant government policymakers to highlight business concerns (including that of MSMEs) and to provide insights on business climate from the perspective of businesses on the ground
  • Regional / International level – Participate in regional/international platform discussions through related bilateral and regional/international business councils and federations 

Business Expansion

  • Collaborative efforts with local businesses – Work together with businesses and/or associations to take advantage of business and investment opportunities at national, regional and international level
  • Collaborative efforts with relevant lead business representative at targeted markets – Work together with relevant lead business entities to develop investment and business opportunities for the mutual benefit of related business communities
  • Collaborative efforts with relevant government agencies - Work together with relevant government agencies to assist members to expand overseas

Capacity Building

  • Collaborative efforts with relevant government agencies - Work together with relevant government agencies to provide access to support programs on raising capabilities and access resources such as Human Resource, Technology, Finance and Market Information
  • Centre of Excellence - Work together with: 
    1. Educational institutions and leading industry players to provide access to training program, and
    2. Related agencies to establish an annual National Business Awards
  • Corporate Social Responsibility – Work together with related agencies and businesses to assist the marginalised by creating employment opportunities through the network of members' businesses and/or other identified platform.
  • Community Based Development - Work together with related agencies to encourage:
    1. Community-based entrepreneurial activities,
    2. Input on related issues affecting the contribution of community-based activities to the economy
  • Cottage and Youth Development - Work together with related agencies to encourage:
    1. Entrepreneurial activities amongst the cottage industry and youth,
    2. Participation in related DPPMB youth related activities,
    3. Input on related issues affecting the contribution of cottage industry and youth to the economy
  • Women Development - Work together with related agencies to encourage
    1. entrepreneurial activities amongst women,
    2. the establishment of women entrepreneur support program to further the development of women entrepreneurs and linkage with regional women entrepreneur business association,
    3. input on related issues affecting the contribution of women to the economy
